Fashion and the Famous !!!!!!

So is it just me or does it feel like EVERYBODY and their mama is getting clothing lines???  Most recently have been the K's otherwise known as the Kardashians and J. Lo and her new Kohls line. Now I have personally had the opportunity to check out both lines and unfortuantely there is no comparison. The Kardashians bring it home HANDS DOWN!!!! The J.Lo collection although slightly cute and somewhat trendy seems to be a collection full of basics there are no signature pieces or anything that stands out at all. I feel like J.Lo is always fab when she steps out and her clothing line in Kohls can not not hold a candle to her personal style. The Kardashian line although slightly poor in quality it is very trendy the line includes basics, "highlight" pieces, must have accessories and a little something for everyone.  Below are few pieces from each collection... Ok so it has definitely been waaaaaay to long Fashion lovers!!! I will be doing my best to update more often as I have gotten several requests to talk about several different topics ... So this post will be a "mish mosh" of all my random thoughts for the last almost month !!!

Ok so inspiration has been coming from everywhere lately.. Have you checked out the street fashion on Essence.com http://photos.essence.com/galleries/fwny1_street_style_spring2011 it is bananas !!!! This is a must SEE... LIKE NOW!!!

I am loving all the tribal prints, era inspirations , easy to wear flannels and print on print outfits, hats and scarfs and the over the knee boot trend is taking over EVERYTHNG .... Fall Fashion overload !!!! There are so many things "in" rather then "out" ... I find myself lost in the sauce!!! BUT what I love most about that is the fact that it gives us fashion lovers the ability to be free and explore all avenues ... Be free fashion lovers!!!!.. Fall is definitely the season to express yourself.  Mix prints , patterns, materials and styles .. below as always I have pictured some of the must haves !!! Let the shopping begin !!!

CRAZY SHOES!!!!!

OK OK OK !!! As I have been shoe shopping (which I always do)... I noticed A LOT of strange things going on with the shape of shoes... the shape and desgin on the heel and strange color combos. There are many that are a "must" and some that I would say would have to grow on me. However it appears celebs like always have picked up on the trend months and months ago . "The Queen Bee" herself has been seen in some "strangies" but "goodies". Let the shoppoing begin!!!

The "70's Show"

Alright... FINALLY .. im back and extremely inspired by fello bloggers... up and coming desginers and TV suprisingly !!!

First lets start with the 70's they are coming back full force and will be penetrating street fashion before the winter. The most evident change is definitely in jeans/pants choices. Skinny legs have been a huge force as far as the bottom half for the last two seasons. Bell bottoms, flares ,and wide leg jeans are shoving them out of the way quicker then my wardrobe can keep up !!!!!Ladies this is great news for us "curvy" women . Another huge salute to the 70's fashion is WEDGES.... I love them high ones, colored, printed ... they tend to be a tad more comfortable then a stiletto but still just as stylish ....Don't forget the accessories .. large frame glasses and floppy hats are also making a come back .. below are some examples of  what  I am talking about .....let the shopping begin!!!!

So ladies what is it that puts the final touch to the "perfect outfit" ??? ACCESSORIES!!!!! Thats right from the perfect sunglasses, to an adorable cocktail ring and my personal fav the owe so trendy feather earring or necklace. Accessories have always been huge but I feel like they are taking a center stage this spring/ summer and I love it. Forever 21 always has the perfect touch for under $10 bucks. Can't beat that!!! Soooo ladies another trend alert ... the MAXI!!!!! I am a huge fan of these flowy, girly, comfortable always appropriate pieces of summer apparel :) The maxi dress is perfect for dates, walks in the park, errands, hang out days and much more.
